Dear poets and supporters of Floating Bride Press,
It’s time to announce the winner of our 2019 Floating Bridge Press Chapbook Competition! We received many wonderful chapbooks from across Washington State. Each year our task gets harder and harder (much to our joy!) After much deliberation, we chose this year’s winner, Lace, by Katrina Roberts of Walla Walla, and a finalist, Endangered [Animal] by Elizabeth Vignali of Bellingham! Both chapbooks will be available in the fall.
Honorable mention goes to Jeremy Voigt, The Book of Lamentations and a special thank you to the semi-finalists, in no particular order:
Sylvia Pollack, Overheard: The Deaf Woman Poems
Jennifer Bullis, The Woods Are the Night, the Woods Are a Gap in the Night
Ruth Dickey, Our Hollowness Sings
Anita Boyle, Immortality
Jeanne Morel, Jackpot
